Isaiah’s Commission

6 In the year that King Uzziah^(A) died,^(B) I saw the Lord,^(C) high and exalted,^(D) seated on a throne;^(E) and the train of his robe^(F) filled the temple.

³³ Make pomegranates^(A) of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them.

³⁴ The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe.

²⁴ They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe.

²⁶ The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁵ And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates.

²⁷ As Samuel turned to leave, Saul caught hold of the hem of his robe,^(A) and it tore.^(B)

²³ This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”^(A)

¹³ So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy^(A) both them and the earth.^(B)
